Shell House is mere steps from the water, just off a quiet little cove in King’s Bay, minutes from the "Plantation Resort and Golf Club" and Fort Island Trail beach park. Launch kayaks from the sea wall, bring your own boat or rent one from one of the local marinas, or book one of our fantastic local guides for fishing, scalloping, or swimming with manatees.
Crystal River and the Nature Coast is old Florida at its best. From the quaint old town with locally-owned shops and restaurants to the crystal clear, natural springs that give Crystal River its name, there is something for everyone. Famous for our thriving manatee population, you can get up close and personal while swimming with these gentle “sea cows” in their natural environment. Scalloping season, from July 1 to September 24, is another of our most popular attractions. Snorkeling the crystal clear shallow water in search of tasty bay scallops is the perfect activity for families. To top it off, the shallow water gag grouper, in-shore snook, redfish, trout, and tarpon fishing is among the best in the state of Florida.
Freshly renovated, Shell House has three bedrooms, two full baths, a modern kitchen, and pool with covered lanai. Comfortably sleeping six people, there is a king bed in the master with an en-suite bathroom, and queen beds in each of the spare bedrooms with a shared full bathroom. We provide clean, comfortable linens, towels, basic toiletries, and a few kitchen staples to make sure our guests feel welcome. We are local hosts, so feel free to ask us for anything that could make your stay more enjoyable. We want you to come back year after year! Pool heater can be added for $120/week.
